- First we cut stripes of polyphil(πετροβαμβακα) with kength 35 cm and width 5cm
- Then we put it on too of the barley bags with a small cylinder
- Now we have preped our bags(usually three) but it might be different if we also want to add petri dishes and other equipment
- We fill water to the boiler to the level of the metal dish
- We then add a big plate under the first bag and a small one on top of it(reversed to cover it) so that the bag doesnt touch any metal part.
- Then we add three spacers(the broken filter parts) and we repeat
- To close the boiler lid, we look at the small arrows on the rim of it.
- When we reach max capacity we initiate the boiler and we start a timer when we reach 15 atmospheres for 2 hours and 20 minutes)
-
- First create a tin foil membrane at the top of the jar closing its hole
- Cut small holes on it like on hookah heads
- Then make a hole with the black&decker to the cap of the jar and make it more broad with a knife
- On this hole put a ball of polyphil and stuck it like a filter
- Close the cap and sterilize as described in the previous section but only for 1.30 minutes
-
- This procedure is on the big sterilizer and not on the Boiler downstares
- First we open the sterilizer with caution so we avoid spilling water
- We put the thermometer horizontlly between a bag and the wall of the boiler
- We add the second tube between two bags
- After eight or nine bags we direct the filters to the walls of the boilers to avoid pressure on them
- We add three dishes as spacers and we repeat with two more layers
- We make sure that the water supply is on and thay the chronometer is set.
